Great day of exercise, PT, and food. The knee is getting stronger though there is still some lateral instability. But that should strengthen over time. Although it was not a long walk, my wife and I walked about 1/2 mile today. Since some of the walk is on an incline, by the time it was over my knee had had enough. We are working up to 1 - 2 miles for our walks on the greenway in the spring. I also road 12 miles in about 50 minutes on my recumbent bike. So, the legs & knee are able to endure a prolonged workout. I still have about 20 more minutes to add to the daily ride in order to get to where I was prior to my injury. Today was my last day of PT for my right knee. The therapist said the knee was progressing nicely, and he wanted me to continue working on the knee at home. There is really nothing more that he can do that I don't already know how & what to do. He did put me through about an hour grind of workout, so the knee has had a full day of exercise. I also had the opportunity to practice hitting some golf shots into my net in the garage. The knee is gradually adjusting to that type of move, and did not want to sway or give way. And,...my wife prepared a wonderful dinner with grilled salmon as the protein. Thus, I had about a 1530 calorie intake day and have burned, as of 7:15 PM, 3014 calories. Yesterday was similar. I hope everyone is keeping focused on their goals, exercising as you need, and are successful in your results. God is good !!
