An abrupt disruption came to our lives the past 4 days. For some reason I had serious intestinal bleed on 10/1 into 10/2. My spouse took me to the hospital, and though the medical professionals found the bleed, there was no specific reason for it happening. The best theory was that an NSAID I had been taking for some back pain had caused the bleeding. So, the hospital cleared my system, and then had the colonoscopy. Over the 3 days, the bleeding stopped, and some changes to my pain medication were made to preclude this happening again. I went about 48 hours without any food,...including the time prior to going into the hospital until Monday evening . But, after the scoping, there was food to be eaten, and I had my fill. I have not weighed as yet, but will do so on Thursday 10/6. Hopefully everyone else has had successful weeks, staying focused and being healthy.
