Thankfully, back on track after a 4-day holiday weekend with the children, grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Have dropped 5 of the pounds I gained eating too much of the really good food from hamburgers to brats to peach creme pie to baked beans, etc....I am sure some of that is salt / water gain, but it is still a frustration in doing so. Thing is, my father used to say the same thing when he visited us during the holidays. He always said he would gain about 5 - 7 pounds when he came to our home, and it would take about 2 weeks to shed the extra weight. So, I've spent the past week concentrating on my exercising and trying to keep my calories at 2000 or less. Next week, I'll reduce the calories average to 1700 per day. I have an intermediate goal of getting back to 180. It was mid-Dec 2020 since I was at 180, and after my hospital fiasco on Jan 22, 2021, weight was put on a back-burner though I have generally kept it at less than 200 for the most part. Everyone keep focused, keep losing, and knowing that God is in control.
