Saturday I refueled. When I do this, I have alcohol, I portion control “ junk” n I overeat “real” food. Today I listen to my body and I only ate a little over 1000 calories (extreme deficit). According to my weekly average, I did not cheat on my diet.

Thats exactly rifgt. Timing does not matter at all. I use to in my college years rely on running 60 miles per week to stay small. I then encountered misalignments in my back and had to stop. I went to the chiropractor and started stretching and focusing on CICO. That really made a difference. Now I do Calisthentics and hardly do cardio. Im a lighter lighter now then when I use to run.

Calories and timing do matter depending on what your goals are. I don’t count Calories i only check my Macros (It’s the same thing but i don’t really care how many Calories i eat at ghe end of the day as long as i balance my macros) In my case Im not loosin weight but actually putting on weight or Muscle. That’s why i do it this way.

The Protein is a Post workout recovery for next day. I don’t take it as a meal replacement. Cmon who doesn’t want a piece of meat or Chicken?? (Protein shakes are not a waist of money, only if you don’t use them for the rite purposes) in your case ig mah not eork for you.

Again timing for results does not matter, what matters is overall calories.
go back to 3-4 of your weekly averages in calories, let me know if you see a pattern.
I do not followed the ITFYM diet, but what I know about it is that if every week u are doing the same grams/% of macros every week you are also (obviously) doing the same amount of calories without knowing.

Timing might matter for you, you might like a pre workout meal, others a post workout, others a pre and post...at the end if you are hitting ur calories it does not matter.
