Our son just accepted a job in Philadelphia.
We're proud he got an engineering job during the worst economy in decades 😊....
But sad he's moving so far away 😭. (we moved from Philly to LA ~5 years ago)
Hug em while you got em

Congratulations to your son. 👏 You'll make it work. It's a matter of keeping the relationship going using creative methods. It sounds like you've already built a wonderful anf secure foundation. ❤

Just think about all those Philly cheese steak sandwiches you'll enjoy when you visit. Both my sons moved away for a year or 2 then moved back home (not back in 🙃). Hopefully yours will too💛

Congrats on the job! My oldest is currently in Poland- pretty sure she’ll end up living overseas permanently. But, future travel to look forward to and new adventures together lessen the sting of missing her

Our daughter, Mechanical Engineering, just accepted a position in the South Bay area, so she'll be heading off soon. Sad, but happy for her.

My so moved to Colorado 12 years ago when he accepted a regional manager position. I miss him everyday so much and my granddaughters as well! ( don't even want to start on that one..😭😭😭😭) It's part of their growth and their life's journey but it never gets easier..💜💜 Congratulations to your son though!

I feel the sting of what’s to come. Both my kids are in uni and doubt they will both stay near. Only God knows what the future holds. Congrats to your son. To find a decent position during these uncertain times is a blessing beyond measure. My best to you all as a family! 😁
